The three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) reported on Niagara College’s start to the new academic year.
The article highlights that with its largest domestic enrolment numbers since 2019, the College is welcoming more than 10,000 new and returning students to its Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses.
President Sean Kennedy is quoted in the article noting that though the increasing numbers are in part due to Niagara College’s new Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree — and associated pre-health streams, it was also a purposeful decision by the college over the past few years to put “a lot of additional effort in our domestic student marketing and recruitment activities.”
“To have a full nursing degree being offered by us, providing opportunities to Niagara residents to be able to come and be part of our incredible suite of health programs and our amazing facility, is something that has been a longtime dream,” said Kennedy.
The articles also highlight the introduction of a new two-year diploma program in Baking and Pastry Arts Management.
