More than 4,500 new students will attend NC's Fall Orientation Day on September 3, 2024.

On September 3, NC’s Athletics and Student Engagement team will welcome more than 4,500 new students to both the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake for Orientation Day.

Held the day before classes start, Orientation Day is part of the College’s fulsome Orientation programming to help prepare incoming students for the transition to college life.

Members of the Student Engagement team will be available to greet new students at the main entrances of both campuses and at the Welcome Hubs, located in the Learning Commons at the Welland Campus and the Wellness Lounge at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Program Information Sessions will take place on Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both campuses. Sessions will be either in-person or virtual. During these sessions, students will have the chance to ask questions about the program and meet faculty, staff and classmates before the term begins. Students in co-op programs will also learn about how to secure a co-op position and will connect with their Co-op Consultant.

Engagement volunteers needed

NC’s Student Engagement team is looking for employees who are willing to be in the hallways in the morning of Sept.3 to help guide students around campus and to their classrooms.

Orientation t-shirts are available for employees on request by emailing Marilia Fructuoso Machado Welter, Student Experience Coordinator.

More on NC’s Orientation activities and list of social events is available on the Orientation website.
