A message from Fiona Allan, Vice President, Academic:
I am pleased to announce that Evan DiValentino has been appointed to the role of Dean, Business and Environment.
Evan previously held the position of Senior Director, Academic Transformation Initiatives while serving as the Interim Dean of the Business and Environment for the last six months. During this period, he effectively guided the division through a time of significant federal and provincial policy changes.
With 13 years of experience in higher education as both an administrator and faculty member, Evan brings valuable expertise and insight to this new role. He has worked in continuing education, media, hospitality, tourism, and business. At NC, he has served as the Associate Dean of the School of Environment and Horticulture, and as a part-time and partial-load faculty member.
During his time at NC, Evan has made valuable contributions to student success, academic quality and institutional development. He led the Classroom Refresh Working Group and oversaw Academic Project Refresh, which designed four new prototype teaching and learning spaces and supports the ongoing revitalization of classrooms. He also played a key role in developing academic-community partnerships at the College, including the Canada Summer Games 2022 and The Launch Centre with the NCDSB.
Evan’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science from Brock University, a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Assessment from Niagara College, and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Royal Roads University.
“As the Dean of the Business and Environment Division, I look forward to working with our team and local and international partners to enhance teaching and learning, student success, and the identities of the School of Business and Management and the School of Environment and Horticulture,” said DiValentino.
Evan will assume his new role as Dean of the Business and Environment Division on July 22. Please join me in congratulating Evan on his new role at NC.
