The Niagara Independent: Province provides Niagara College over $800,000 to offer free pre-apprenticeship training

An August 22 article in The Niagara Independent shared the Ontario government’s announcement that it has invested $812,775 at Niagara College to boost pre-apprenticeship training for in-demand jobs in the skilled trades. The funding is part of the province’s record investment in nearly 100 free pre-apprenticeship programs around Ontario.

Fiona Allan, Academic Vice-President is quoted in the article: “The pre-apprenticeship program at Niagara College is an exciting opportunity for those who may have considered a career in the skilled trades, but faced barriers to take the next steps.”
