Reminder to register for COE’s Spring Professional Development courses – 21 Toys Workshop & Mental Health First Aid

A reminder to register for the Centre for Organizational Excellence’s (COE) upcoming professional development courses this Spring.

PD courses are open to all part-time and full-time employees and feature a variety of sessions offered at various times throughout the term to better accommodate employee schedules.

Please see below for a list of upcoming learning opportunities:

  • 21 Toys Workshop: This half day workshop will help participants unlock insights for improved performance, smoother collaboration, and more authentic employee engagement, and provide the opportunity to discuss the role of empathy and communication in the workplace.
    • Date: May 23 at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    • Facilitator: Rebecca Nicholls, Associate Dean, Workforce Development and Community Partnerships
  • Mental Health First Aid: MHFA Basic was developed to help people provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. This workshop will teach participants to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and to refer people to appropriate supports.
    • Date: June 6 & 8 at 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    • Facilitators: Jennifer Babin, M Ed., RP, Health, Wellness, and Accessibility Services & Nattalie Boverhof, International Student Engagement Co-Ordinator
