NC International’s first monthly NC Global Learning Lounge will take place on January 31 from 12-12:50 p.m. via Zoom and will feature NC’s Global Business Development team.

The Global Learning Lounge concept was developed based on the feedback from the Niagara College International Employee Engagement and Communications Working Group. During this 50-minute Zoom session intended for NC employees, participants will hear from NC International’s Global Business Development (GBD) team to learn about their roles, the key markets they serve, and how they work collaboratively across the college.

“In this session, we are excited to share with our colleagues how the Global Business Development team has evolved and changed since the onset of the pandemic,” said Holly Catalfamo, Director of Global Engagement. “We are pleased to be able to describe how our teams support the college’s strategic goals and how team members collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the college and with international partners worldwide.”

GBD team members will describe their activities in the areas of:

  • International recruitment during and post-pandemic;
  • International student advocacy as part of the role; and
  • Developing relationships for global campus opportunities and global contract training.

Session leaders will share key initiatives in geographic areas around the world. This session is intended to be interactive with a question and answer period included. Note: Registration is not required – please join the event using the Zoom link posted on the employee portal.

“As Niagara College continues to shape the lives of global learners and provide expert consultation to governments, global institutions and organizations, it is important to recognize the values that drive the business development process and for the teams that work with our partners and students to share their stories,” said Scott Slaney, Associate Director of Global Business Development.
