A message from Dorita Pentesco, director, Marketing and Student Recruitment:
It is with mixed emotions that I announce that Phil Hayes has accepted a position at Sheridan College as associate registrar, Student Recruitment, overseeing the international and domestic recruitment teams.
Phil has been with Niagara College for 15 years, joining first as the associate registrar for domestic recruitment and admissions. In 2012, Phil and the Student Recruitment team merged with the Marketing team as part of a strategic reorganization to further integrate NC’s recruitment and marketing strategies and activities. During Phil’s time at Niagara College, he led his team through a number of important initiatives such as the development and implementation of a Customer Relationship Management System focused on student recruitment and marketing, the creation of an integrated, data-driven team of recruitment specialists both in region and out of region, and developed numerous new creative initiatives and approaches to NC’s student recruitment activities and events.
Additionally, Phil has built many important relationships with external stakeholders and partners to provide connections to ensure that prospective students can achieve their dreams and that NC is serving and meeting the community’s needs.
Phil’s last day at NC will be September 3 and as we begin the Fall student recruitment season, Ian Aikenhead will be temporarily taking on the role of acting associate director, Student Recruitment. If you have any questions regarding student recruitment, please contact me or Ian.
