Bonnie Heslop with Newstalk 610 CKTB reported that Niagara College and Brock University will collectively receive $750,000 from the Ontario government to help increase mental health supports for students. Funding for Niagara’s post-secondary institutions was announced by Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff and is part of the province’s investment of $26 million for mental health supports for postsecondary students in 2020-21.

The coverage includes a quote from NC president Sean Kennedy who says, “Our students’ health and wellness has always been, and continues to be, a top priority for Niagara College. This new mental health funding will allow us to offer additional support to students in our community and expand our virtual and online resources.”
