A message from David Atherton, dean, Academic & Liberal Studies:
I want to take this opportunity to announce that Dr. Theresa Knott, associate dean, Academic & Liberal Studies at our Daniel J. Patterson Campus has accepted the position of associate dean, Faculty of Social and Community Services at Humber College. Theresa’s last day at NC will be December 11.
Theresa joined the ALS team in November 2017 and has forged strong relationships with colleagues, faculty, and students. She has been instrumental in fostering a strong academic team and was responsible for leading the growth of the Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) program, which provides inclusive postsecondary learning to individuals with developmental disabilities and other significant learning challenges. Theresa is well-respected and has been a strong advocate for our students, working tirelessly with faculty to secure new academic experiences and opportunities focused on student success.
Please join me in wishing Theresa well as she gets ready to embark on her new role. A transition plan for Theresa’s portfolio will be communicated to the division in the coming weeks.
