In their October 28 edition of Perspectives, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICAN) wrote about Canada’s wineries, breweries, and distilleries that are a “unique, innovative, and growing part of Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector.”
The piece notes NC among a short list of institutions whose programming supports the burgeoning industry. The Canadian Food and Wine Institute at NC is noted as the home of the Teaching Winery, Teaching Brewery, and Teaching Distillery, a 40-ace vineyard, hop yard, fruit free orchard, and culinary garden. The piece notes our specialized program offerings including Winery and Viticulture Technician, Wine Business Management, Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management, and “Canada’s first Artisan Distilling program.”
The College is recognized for hosting the first Food and Beverage Summit is October.
