Welland Campus Student Commons to serve as polling station for College community Oct. 5-9

From Oct. 5 – 9, Niagara College students, staff and faculty will be able to cast their ballots in the upcoming federal election right on campus. Elections Canada staff will have a polling station set up in the SAC activity room of the Welland Campus Student Commons for advance polling from Oct. 5-9. This polling station will be dedicated to allowing the Niagara College community to cast their vote in a familiar, easy-to-access location. Dates and hours for the polling station are as follows:

 

Saturday, Oct. 5: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 6: noon – 4 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 7: 10 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 8: 10 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 9: 10 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.

 

Voters must be Canadian citizens, at least 18 years old, and must prove their identity and address. For more information on voting in a federal election, visit Elections Canada’s website.
