It’s one of the best community events in the region – by Niagara, for Niagara – and the College’s team will be a part of it all, going the distance to make a difference.
College employees are encouraged take part in the Rankin Cancer Run and register for the NC Community Team. The event – which includes participating in a 5 km run or 1 km fundraising walk – will be held Saturday, May 28, starting from the Grantham Lions Club in St. Catharines (10 a.m.)
This year will be the 11th anniversary of the Rankin Cancer Run, and the target for this year’s event is to raise $1 million.
Over the past 10 years, this event has raised more than $5.5 million to support the fight against cancer in the Niagara region. All money raised through the annual fundraising run/walk stays in the Niagara region.
Each year, Niagara College is a strong supporter of the Rankin Cancer Run. The NC Community team has included senior administration, students, staff, faculty and retirees. Employees are encouraged to register for the College’s team to be a part of this positive community event that has an impact on the lives of so many. Family members and friends are welcome.
Niagara College will have a tent on site as a gathering place. Free food will be provided after the run along with entertainment and activities.
