Message from Dan Patterson: Student Appreciation Day

Dan PattersonI invite you to join me in thanking our students for choosing Niagara College at our annual Student Appreciation Day.  This year, Student Appreciation Day will take place on Thursday, November 27th, 2014.  This exciting event is an opportunity for staff and faculty at all our campuses to interact with our students, and for our students it is a chance to explore areas of the college they have yet to visit and have fun along the way.

Student appreciation is our opportunity to not only thank our students for choosing Niagara College, but to underscore our commitment to providing unparalleled student satisfaction and success. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we have incorporated feedback from prior years to enhance this year’s event.

I am pleased to announce that the Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership is the administrative lead for Student Appreciation Day. The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership will hold information sessions at each campus prior to Student Appreciation Day to coordinate refreshments and activities, ensuring a successful event for our students.

Managers and departmental assistants will receive a message shortly from The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership with instructions for identifying a departmental contact, and details on the upcoming information sessions. Please reply promptly to this message, and ensure that your department is represented at the information sessions.

November’s Student Appreciation Day will be followed by a smaller event in January.  I hope you will join me in working together to put together a wonderful campus-wide event to not only thank our students, but to remind them that they made the right choice in selecting Niagara College as their pathway to success.
