Forrester inducted into U of M Women’s Track and Field Hall of Fame

NC Sport Management professor Nicole Forrester was recently inducted to the University of Michigan Women’s Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Forrester, who has been at NC since 2012, is a former Olympian, is a Commonwealth Games champion and bronze medallist, a silver and bronze Pan American games medallist, and eight-time Canadian champion.

For Forrester, the honour still hasn’t hit home.

“I am just honoured to be considered amongst the many before me and the many that will come after,” she said.

She noted the important role that her alma mater played in her life.

“Michigan has been immeasurably impactful in my development as an athlete, student, and person,” she said. “I’ve learned to embody to the pursuit of excellence and have dedicated my life to nothing less than my best because of the University of Michigan.”
