Niagara College’s 2013 United Way Campaign – the most successful campaign in NC’s history – was recognized March 25 at the United Way of South Niagara’s campaign wrap-up.

NC’s campaign, which raised $38,830 for the United Way of South Niagara, earned a Platinum Employee Award, while NC’s campaign co-chairs – Vivian Kinnaird, dean, Business, Hospitality and Tourism and Matthew Davies, director, Athletics and Recreation – were presented with the Employee Campaign Co-Chairs Award.

NC’s record-setting contribution of $38,830 exceeded the campaign’s 2013 goal of $35,000. The funds were raised through employee contributions, as well as a series of events, including the Niagara Research Trivia Night; Athletics and Recreation Intercollegiate home game tickets sales; Hairstyling cut-a-thon; CFWI Bench-to-Go coffee drive and Toblerone raffle and the Business department’s cardboard challenge.
