Learning about Apple in Education

A Visit to the Apple Executive Briefing Centre Session

On Tuesday, February 18, 2014, a group of interested Deans, Chairs, Directors and technologically-minded professors braved blizzard-like conditions to attend a complimentary day-long session at the Apple Executive Briefing Centre in Toronto.

The purpose of this gathering was to discuss with Apple some of our technological hopes, dreams and challenges and to learn a bit more about what Apple is doing to support innovative and effective practice in teaching and learning with technologies. The day was filled with interactive undertakings, instructional activities and even the sharing of some of Niagara College’s current online and technology-driven accomplishments. Group work, discussions, and a lot of dialogue resulted in a much better idea of what is already possible at Niagara and what might be beneficial in the future.

Apple pointed us toward some great resources and those of us in attendance thought that others curious about Apple in Education might appreciate having links to  information on the resources, apps, research papers and websites that were shared with us throughout the day.
