Libraries’ Beth Dupuis retiring

Beth DupuisAfter more than 30 years of dedicated service, Beth Dupuis has announced her retirement from Niagara College, effective Thursday September 26, 2013. Beth has been a valued member of the Niagara College Libraries team where she has served as our geography, GIS & map guru.  Over the years, she has helped de-mystify maps & air photos for countless numbers of students.

Beth started her career in the library at the Welland Vale Campus.  She has also worked at Mack  School of Nursing, the School of Horticulture on Niagara Street, and Maid of the Mist Campus, finishing up her career as Library Technician Media and GIS/Map Resources at the NOTL Campus Library. Beth, a lifelong learner, earned her honours degree in Geography and Environmental Policy from Brock University and her MLiS from McGill University.

Her retirement plans consist of travelling, along with the pursuit of her many hobbies and interests which include live theater and dance classes.   Beth will be greatly missed by her colleagues in the Library and we all wish her the best and thank her for many contributions as part of the library team.

As per Beth’s wishes, rather than a formal reception, faculty and staff are invited to stop by the NOTL campus library at any time between 8:00am to 4:00pm on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 this week to offer congratulations and best wishes.
