Ontario’s Minister of Finance, The Hon. Charles Sousa, was at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus September 12 to host a roundtable discussion hosted by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce.
The event included local business leaders – including Niagara College president Dan Patterson and Board chair Allan Schmidt – who provided input to the Minister on how the Ontario government can work with local business to build a stronger economy in Niagara.
“I’m pleased that Niagara College had a chance to participate in this important discussion with the Minister,” said Patterson. “Niagara College plays a significant role in the economy of Niagara, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide our input and insight to the provincial government as it looks at ways to create jobs and economic growth.”
“I’m pleased to be here in Niagara as part of our government’s Path to Jobs and Growth tour,” said Minister Sousa. “I appreciate meeting with Ontarians across the province on ways to continue balancing the budget by 2017-18, creating jobs and boosting economic growth and engaging with the community in Niagara on how we can best achieve those goals.”
