Gord Hunchak leaving NC

Message from Dan Patterson, President

Gord HunchakIt is with mixed emotions that I am announcing Gord Hunchak’s upcoming departure from Niagara College. Gord has advised that he will be leaving Niagara College on June 14th to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. Gord will be assisting in the transition of his current responsibilities until that date.

Gord joined Niagara College in 2007 as the Director, Marketing and Communications, and is currently the Associate Vice President, Planning and Communications.

Since joining Niagara College, Gord and his team have been instrumental in elevating the profile of Niagara College with the “Applied Dreams” brand platform, revamping Niagara College’s internal and external communications channels including the launch of Encore magazine and InsideNC, implementing the marketing, student recruitment, and media relations efforts, developing several community relations initiatives and partnerships, spearheading Niagara College’s successful move into online and social media, and launching the Planning and Institutional Research department. Gord has been a member of the College’s Board of Governors since 2008 as the Administrative Employees rep, and recently led the development of NC’s new 2013-16 Strategic Plan.

I would like to thank Gord for his significant impact to Niagara College, and wish him all the best in his new job. We are going to deeply miss Gord’s leadership, creativity and dedication to Niagara College.

Please join me on Thursday, June 13th at 4pm in the SAC Boardroom (SA208) at the Welland Campus for a farewell celebration.
