Glide into Family Day with a free skate

NC employees, get ready to lace up your skates with your friends and family in tow.

Family Day, on Monday, Feb. 20, is NC’s Wellness Watch Committee’s fourth annual Employees, Friends and Family Skate Day. The event will take place at the Thorold Community Arena, 70 Front. St. N., Thorold, from 1-3 p.m.

The event is a free skate with complimentary snacks, drinks and prizes.

Each NC employee is eligible for five free tickets for the event, and additional tickets may be purchased for $4 each.

The Wellness Watch Committee has organized the event as part of its effort to promote healthy community living.

“The community we foster at Niagara College is an important part of healthy living – the Wellness Watch Committee advocates for a college culture that recognizes the importance of community in the workplace, ” says Erica Sheel, CEPD project assistant. “Sharing a day skating together with our families and colleagues is a wonderful opportunity to promote a healthy workplace as well as work-life balance.”

To pick up your tickets, simply visit Marsha Fiorino in room W115 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus, the CEPD office in S102 at the Welland Campus, or Tracy LeBlanc in room MM9 at the Maid of the Mist campus.

Note: Children age 12 and younger must wear a helmet. Skate and helmet rentals are not available at the arena.
