Your name and Niagara College student email address will not be collected as part of your survey responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you choose to enter the prize draw after completing the survey, you will be directed to a <strong>separate prize-draw entry form<\/strong> where your Niagara College student email address will be collected. Information submitted through the prize-draw form will be kept separate from your survey responses and cannot be used to identify how you responded to the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survey findings will be analyzed and reported in aggregate wherever possible. Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>are <strong>residents of Ontario, Canada<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are <strong>current Niagara College students enrolled in the Fall 2026 term<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complete the <strong>Student Perspectives on Online Learning survey<\/strong> during the Contest Period; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>submit the separate <strong>Prize Draw Entry Form<\/strong> during the Contest Period using their Niagara College (NC) student email address. Personal email addresses will not be accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Only <strong>one (1) prize-draw entry per individual<\/strong> is permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an entrant is <strong>under the age of majority (18 years of age)<\/strong>, their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for all matters relating to the Contest, including acceptance of the prize and signing any required documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following individuals are <strong>not eligible to enter or win<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>employees of Niagara College;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>their spouses, parents, children, or siblings; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any person residing in the same household as such employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to Enter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No purchase is required to enter or win the Contest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students may enter the Contest by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>completing the Student Perspectives on Online Learning survey during the Contest Period; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>submitting the <strong>separate Prize Draw Entry Form<\/strong> made available after completion of the Survey.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prize Draw Entry Form is separate from the Survey. Information provided through the Prize Draw Entry Form will <strong>not be linked to survey responses<\/strong>, helping to maintain the anonymity of the Survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All prize-draw entries must be complete and are subject to verification by Niagara College. Entrants who do not follow the entry instructions, provide the required information, meet the eligibility requirements, or comply with these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niagara College collects personal information submitted through the <strong>Prize Draw Entry Form<\/strong> under the authority of the <em>Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act<\/em>. The information will be used by Niagara College for the purpose of administering the Contest, including verifying eligibility, conducting the prize draws, contacting selected entrants, and distributing prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Eligibility for Prize Draws<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible prize-draw entries will be considered as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early-Bird Draw<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students who complete the <strong>Student Perspectives on Online Learning survey<\/strong> and submit the separate <strong>Prize Draw Entry Form by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on September 24, 2026<\/strong>, will be eligible for the early-bird draw taking place on <strong>September 25, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The early-bird draw will award <strong>two (2) $50 NC Cash prizes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are confirmed as winners of an early-bird prize will <strong>not be eligible for the final draw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Draw<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students who complete the Survey and submit the separate <strong>Prize Draw Entry Form by 11:15 p.m. Eastern Time on September 30, 2026<\/strong>, will be eligible for the final draw following the close of the Contest Period, provided they have <strong>not already been confirmed as an early-bird winner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final draw will award <strong>one (1) $50 NC Cash prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for each draw.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Prize Distribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals selected through the prize draw as <strong>potential winners<\/strong> must correctly answer a <strong>time-limited skill-testing question<\/strong>, administered by Niagara College, before they can be declared a winner and receive a prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential winners may also be required to <strong>confirm their eligibility and provide information reasonably required to administer the Contest and distribute the prize<\/strong>. If a selected entrant does not correctly answer the skill-testing question, does not meet the eligibility requirements, or does not provide the requested information within the specified time, they may be disqualified and an alternate eligible entrant may be selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a potential winner is <strong>under 18 years of age<\/strong>, their parent or legal guardian must complete any required consent or documentation before the entrant can be confirmed as a winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential winners will be contacted directly by <strong>Institutional Analytics &amp; Reporting (IAR)<\/strong> using the <strong>Niagara College student email address<\/strong> provided through the Prize Draw Entry Form. Sponsor and Administrator<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This prize draw (the \u201cContest\u201d) is sponsored and administered by <strong>Niagara College Canada<\/strong> (\u201cNiagara College\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest begins at <strong>10:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 4, 2026<\/strong>, and closes at <strong>11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on <strong>Tuesday<\/strong>, August 25, 2026<\/strong> (the \u201cContest Period\u201d). Entries received after the Contest Period will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Acceptance Declined Survey (ADS) for applicants to Niagara College (&#8220;ADS Applicant Survey&#8221;), associated with this Contest, is administered by <strong>Academica Group.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>are&nbsp;<strong>residents of Ontario, Canada;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>are Niagara College <strong>applicants <\/strong><\/strong>who declined all offers of admission and who had applied to begin a regular post-secondary program in <strong>September 2025 (Fall Term), January 2026 (Winter Term), or May 2026 (Spring Term)<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>were <strong>invited by email in August 2026 to complete the ADS Applicant Survey<\/strong> administered by Academica Group; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>completed the survey during the Contest Period<\/strong> using the unique survey link provided in their invitation or reminder emails.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the avoidance of doubt, an applicant is an individual who has applied to a program of study at Niagara College, regardless of whether they are subsequently accepted for enrolment. Enrolment is not a requirement for eligibility to participate in the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this Contest, the term \u201capplicant\u201d refers only to individuals who have declined all offers of admission to Niagara College and meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Section 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each survey link is <strong>unique to the recipient and must not be shared<\/strong> with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an entrant is <strong>under the age of majority<\/strong> (18 years of age), their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for all matters relating to the Contest, including acceptance of the prize and signing any required documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following individuals are <strong>not eligible to enter or win<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>employees of Niagara College;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>their spouses, parents, children, or siblings; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any person residing in the same household as such employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to Enter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No purchase is required to be entered into or win in the Contest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible individuals who complete the survey during the Contest Period will be automatically entered into the prize draw. No additional action or separate entry is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IMPORTANT: Message and data rates may apply if an entrant enters this Contest on his\/her mobile device. Failure to provide the requested information within the specified time may result in&nbsp;<strong>disqualification and forfeiture of the prize<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following terms and conditions apply to each prize: (i) each prize is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the issuer; (ii) each prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, resold, substituted, or redeemed for cash, except at the sole and absolute discretion of Niagara College; (iii) a prize will not be replaced if lost, destroyed, mutilated, or stolen, or if it is not taken for any reason; and (iv) by accepting a prize, each confirmed prize winner agrees to waive all recourse against Niagara College, the administrator, and any other related Contest parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Publicity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Niagara College may publicly disclose limited information about prize winners on the <strong>survey FAQ page<\/strong>, as described below in this section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consent for public disclosure of winner information is <strong>voluntary and not a condition of participation in the survey or eligibility to receive a prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the survey, participants are asked to select one of the following disclosure options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I consent to the public disclosure of &#8220;my first<\/strong> <strong>name, NC applicant<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I do not consent to the public disclosure of any personal information.<\/strong> In this case, if selected as a winner, the published list will state:<strong> \u201cNC applicant\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants may <strong>withdraw or modify their disclosure preference<\/strong> up to <strong>11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">the day before<\/span> the public posting of winner information<\/strong> by contacting the research team at <strong><a href=\"mailto:survey@niagaracollege.ca\">survey@niagaracollege.ca<\/a><\/strong>. Public postings will occur on the same dates as the prize draws: August 7, 11, 14, 19, and 24, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Withdrawal or modification of consent <strong>will not affect eligibility for the prize or receipt of the prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Decisions of the Sponsors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All decisions made by <strong>Niagara College and Academica Group<\/strong> regarding any aspect of their respective Contests are <strong>final and binding<\/strong>, without right of appeal. Entrants using any scheme, information or method to win any prize that, in the sole opinion of the Contest Sponsors, is other than a fair chance will be disqualified and lose the right to claim the prize to which they otherwise would have been entitled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way without prior notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Limitation of Liability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Niagara College will not be responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>typographical or production errors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>entries that fail to comply with these rules;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>internet failures or technical malfunctions involving networks, computer systems, servers, software, or service providers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any losses, damages, or claims arising from participation in the Contest or its sponsorship; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use or non-use of a prize by a winner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, administrators, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest. Sponsor and Administrator<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This prize draw (the \u201cContest\u201d) is sponsored and administered by <strong>Niagara College Canada<\/strong> (\u201cNiagara College\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest begins at <strong>10:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 18, 2026<\/strong>, and closes at <strong>11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, March 30, 2026<\/strong> (the \u201cContest Period\u201d). Entries received after the Contest Period will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UCAS Applicant Survey associated with this Contest is administered by <strong>Academica Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>are&nbsp;<strong>residents of Ontario, Canada;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>applicants to Niagara College<\/strong>&nbsp;seeking to begin a regular post-secondary program in&nbsp;<strong>May 2026 (Spring Term), September 2026 (Fall Term), or January 2027 (Winter Term)<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>were <strong>invited by email in March 2026 to complete the UCAS Applicant Survey<\/strong> administered by Academica Group; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>completed the survey during the Contest Period<\/strong> using the unique survey link provided in their invitation email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the avoidance of doubt, an applicant is an individual who has applied to a program of study at Niagara College, regardless of whether they are subsequently accepted for enrolment. Enrolment is not a requirement for eligibility to participate in the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each survey link is <strong>unique to the recipient and must not be shared<\/strong> with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an entrant is <strong>under the age of majority<\/strong> (18 years of age), their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for all matters relating to the Contest, including acceptance of the prize and signing any required documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following individuals are <strong>not eligible to enter or win<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>employees of Niagara College;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>their spouses, parents, children, or siblings; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any person residing in the same household as such employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to Enter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No purchase is required to be entered into or win in the Contest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enter the Contest, eligible individuals must successfully follow the instructions and complete the UCAS Applicant Survey during the Contest Period. Individuals who complete the survey during the Contest Period will be automatically entered into the draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IMPORTANT: Message and data rates may apply if an entrant enters this Contest on his\/her mobile device. Entrants should consult their wireless provider&#8217;s pricing plans. Mobile entry is not required to enter or win a prize in this Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only <strong>one (1) entry per individual<\/strong> is permitted. If it is discovered that an individual attempted to enter more than once, all entries associated with that individual may be disqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entries must be received&nbsp;<strong>no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on March 30, 2026<\/strong> for the external prize draw (section 4. below). To also participate in the bonus draws conducted during the survey period, entries must be received <strong>no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on March 19, 2026; March 22, 2026; March 25, 2026; or March 29, 2026<\/strong> (section. 5 below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All entries must be complete and are subject to verification by Niagara College, in its sole and absolute discretion. Those who do not follow all the instructions, provide the required information in their UCAS Applicant Survey, abide by these Terms and Conditions and\/or other instructions of the Niagara College may be disqualified, in Niagara College\u2019s sole and absolute discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each entrant (i) grants to Niagara College the irrevocable right to use their entry material in any media worldwide and for any purpose related to the Contest (or any similar contest), including the right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from, their entry submission without notification, compensation or additional consideration to them, and (ii) waives all claims of moral rights in any use of their entry material by Niagara College pursuant to the rights granted in these Terms and Conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niagara College collects entrant personal information under the legal authority of the <em>Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act<\/em>. Participants should check their&nbsp;<strong>junk or spam folders<\/strong>&nbsp;and, if they have won a prize, follow the instructions provided in the email to redeem their prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prize winners may be required to&nbsp;<strong>confirm their eligibility and provide information reasonably required to administer the Contest and distribute the prize<\/strong>. Failure to provide the requested information within the specified time may result in&nbsp;<strong>disqualification and forfeiture of the prize<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following terms and conditions apply to each prize: (i) each prize is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the issuer; (ii) each prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, resold, substituted, or redeemed for cash, except at the sole and absolute discretion of Niagara College; (iii) a prize will not be replaced if lost, destroyed, mutilated, or stolen, or if it is not taken for any reason; and (iv) by accepting a prize, each confirmed prize winner agrees to waive all recourse against Niagara College, the administrator, and any other related contest parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Publicity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Niagara College may publicly disclose limited information about prize winners on the <strong>survey FAQ page<\/strong>, as described on that page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consent for public disclosure of winner information is <strong>voluntary and not a condition of participation in the survey or eligibility to receive a prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the survey, participants are asked to select one of the following disclosure options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I consent to the public disclosure of &#8220;my first<\/strong> <strong>name, NC applicant<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I do not consent to the public disclosure of any personal information.<\/strong> In this case, if selected as a winner, the published list will state:<strong> \u201cNC applicant\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants may <strong>withdraw or modify their disclosure preference<\/strong> up to <strong>11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">the day before<\/span> the public posting of winner information<\/strong> by contacting the research team at <strong><a href=\"mailto:survey@niagaracollege.ca\">survey@niagaracollege.ca<\/a><\/strong>. Public postings occur on the same date as the prize draws (<strong>March  20, 23, 26, and 30, 2026<\/strong>),<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Withdrawal or modification of consent <strong>will not affect eligibility for the prize or receipt of the prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Decisions of the Sponsors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All decisions made by <strong>Niagara College and Academica Group<\/strong> regarding any aspect of their respective Contests are <strong>final and binding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. The collected data is utilized in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrows\">\n<li><strong>Policy Development<\/strong>: To inform and shape government policies aimed at addressing substance use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Program Design<\/strong>: To create targeted programs that address the challenges related to substance use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support for Students<\/strong>: To implement initiatives and resources that aid students struggling with substance use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration<\/strong>: To guide both governmental and non-governmental organizations in aligning their efforts to address substance-related issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This survey period is tentatively scheduled for March 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><i class=\"fa-solid fa-poll\"><\/i> <strong>The primary outcomes that will be measured by the CPADS include<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrows\">\n<li>self-reported prevalence of alcohol and drug use;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>patterns of alcohol and drug use (e.g., age of initiation, frequency of use, binge drinking);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>student demographic characteristics which might affect alcohol and drug use;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>self-reported harms resulting from alcohol and drug use (e.g., health, social, legal);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>self-assessed comorbidities in this population that might influence substance use (e.g., self-assessed mental health); and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>knowledge of Canada\u2019s Low Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines (LRDG)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The specialized survey firm, <a href=\"https:\/\/advanis.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Advanis<\/a>, has been hired to implement data collection for this study. Your responses are confidential.
