\r\n What are Transfer Credits?<\/div>\r\n\n\n\n

Transfer Credits are courses that are awarded when a student completes an equivalent course at another institution. These are credited towards the Niagara College credential you are working on and may reduce your study time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Courses that are completed at other post-secondary institutions that share the same learning content and objectives as those offered at Niagara College are recognized as exemptions (EX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Courses that are completed at Niagara College sharing the same learning content and objectives as another course at Niagara College are recognized as equivalencies (EQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the minimum grade requirement for transferring credits? <\/i><\/div>\r\n
\r\n

Transfer Credits can be granted if they have been deemed equivalent in both content and learning outcomes by the Academic Area, and the student has met the minimum grade requirement at the source institution as indicated below:<\/p>\n

Diploma-level courses:<\/strong> 50% or passing grade at the source institution
\nDegree-level courses:<\/strong> 60%
\nGraduate Certificate-level courses:<\/strong> Must be from a graduate level (Masters or Graduate Certificate), and passing grade at source institution.<\/p>\n

Where can I obtain course outlines for my previous education? <\/i><\/div>\r\n
\r\n

If you have completed your education at an Ontario College or University, please use the Find Course Syllabi<\/a> tool at ontransfer.ca.<\/p>\n

This will provide general information about how and where to find these documents. Alternatively, you can contact your previous institution directly.<\/p>\n

I am currently enrolled in a program at Niagara College and would like to know if my previous Niagara College courses transfer. <\/i><\/div>\r\n

Students can process an updated Academic Advisement report using the How-to guide here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Academic Advisement Report<\/strong> will generate a PDF that can be used to review academic progression within your program and determine remaining requirements for graduation. Equivalencies (and exemptions) will appear on this report and those corresponding courses will have a \u2018Status\u2019 of Complete.<\/p>\n

I’ve completed a dual credit through my high school, can I use it as a transfer credit? <\/i><\/div>\r\n
\r\n

College-delivered dual credit courses are eligible for credit transfer at Niagara College. <\/p>\n

To apply for a transfer credit using your dual credit course, we will require your official transcript from the College where the course was delivered. This can be requested by contacting the Registration Office at the delivering College.<\/p>\n

Please send your transcript to transfercredit@niagaracollege.ca<\/a> with your full name and 7-digit student number.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n

Will Transfer Credits impact my fees or funding from OSAP? <\/i><\/div>\r\n
\r\n

Receiving transfer credits may affect your course load, which in turn may impact your fees and eligibility for OSAP, scholarships, bursaries and other sponsorships. <\/p>\n
