Application Form
The Dream Big Fund is designed to provide seed funding for pilot initiatives, outside of regular budget allocations.
The Fund enables NC to more nimbly and quickly approve activities that support one or more Strategic Plan Key Areas of Focus and Actions. Ready to apply? Please review the eligibility, approval process and reporting requirements below, and then download the application form below.
Eligibility
- Project(s) must be completed within 18 months of approval.
- Intake and approval of requests is ongoing with no fixed submission date.
- Pilot initiatives are eligible; ongoing operational investments are excluded.
- Initiatives must further one or more of the Strategic Plan Key Areas of Focus.
Approval Process
- Approvals must follow the normal process from supervisor to respective Director.
- Discuss your ideas with your direct supervisor and apply.
- Vice Presidents will approve requests up to $100,000.
- Executive Team will approve requests greater than $100,000.
Reporting
- Quarterly updates will be provided to the Executive Team, coordinated by Financial Services.
- Vice-Presidents may request updates on a different frequency.
- Final report by the Dean/Director that identifies the outcomes achieved.
