Course Title: Field Placement III - Child and Youth CareView Course Outline
Admit Term: 2021 Winter 1211
This is the third field placement for students in the Child and Youth Care Program. Students will interact with children and adolescents in both small and large groups as well as on a one-to-one basis, in a variety of academic, social service, and residential settings. Students will lead and/or participate in such activities as therapeutic games, anger management techniques, counseling and advocacy. Students will have further opportunity to enhance the practical and interpersonal skills necessary for employment in this field, as well as explore additional career paths open to Child and Youth Care Practitioners. A total of 350 hours is required to successfully complete this course.
