Description:

This course covers the fundamentals of manufacturing techniques and methods being used to produce photonics components and systems, and, the use of photonics devices and methods in manufacturing. Through the use of lectures, labs and assignments the student is exposed to optical device production. Advanced assembly techniques such as the use of adhesives, automation, optical tests and measurements and additional instruction in quality control standards, will be included.
