Description:

This course focuses on fundamental studio and on-location portrait techniques. Students will distinguish between a diversity of portrait applications including private character studies, business portraits and acting/performance portfolios. The communication and interpersonal skills required to establish rapport with photographic subjects will also be examined. Students will evaluate the impact of the effective application of design and composition fundamentals and the use of appropriate equipment selection, studio lighting, posing and backdrops on a variety of photographic portraits.
