In this course you will learn professional standards for communication and documentation in the Geomatics industry. Using the project management best practices recommended by Project Management Institute (PMI) and the industry standard project management software, you will learn how to initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close a real-world GIS project for a community client. This course serves as the first part of the postgraduate Applied GIS Thesis Project that you require as a prerequisite for the second semester's "GISC9309 Thesis Project Development" and the third semester's "GISC9310 Applied GIS Thesis" courses.
