Course Title: Computer Applications - AutomotiveView Course Outline

This course is intended to give students competency in computer-related skills to support their academic pursuits and be of immediate value to their employers. This course will prepare students to be computer literate and provide a basic working vocabulary and knowledge of computing and information concepts. Students will practice with commercial software packages such as Microsoft Office as well as the automotive service information applications Mitchell On Demand and AllData. Electrical and Dynamometer simulation software will be utilized in the computer lab. Students will become familiar with using a PC to acquire data directly and indirectly from an automobile. This course is a hybrid delivery. Two hours of each class will be in a classroom setting and one hour will be delivered online over the course of the semester.
