{"id":77,"date":"2021-11-25T13:38:27","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T18:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.niagaracollege.ca\/campussafety\/?page_id=77"},"modified":"2026-06-15T08:56:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:56:14","slug":"enforcement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.niagaracollege.ca\/campussafety\/parkingservices\/enforcement\/","title":{"rendered":"Parking Enforcement and Fines"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div  class=\"layout-bar content-bar\" style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">\r\n\t<div class=\"r\">\r\n     <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\r\n<div class=\"introduction b d\">\r\n   Parking Enforcement occurring on our campuses (including the student residences) is subject to an enacted Bylaw of the Municipality in which the campus is located.<\/div>\r\n\n\n\n<p>Failure to abide by outlined parking rules may result in a parking ticket, tow, and\/or cancellation of parking privileges.<br>When a vehicle is involved in an infraction the owner\/operator will be issued a fine in the form of a parking ticket. Unauthorized parking in signed areas (ie. speciality parking spots \u2013 Dental Clinic, 30 Minute Parking etc.) will be subject to a parking ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples of additional parking infractions may include, but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrows\">\n<li>Not paying for parking during enforced hours;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paying for parking but incorrect license plate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parking in a prohibited zone (e.g. fire routes, hatched marked areas, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parking in an accessible parking space without an Ontario Ministry of Transportation accessibility parking permit prominently displayed;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parking in a different area than the one selected when a parking session was purchased;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-electric vehicles parked in an electric vehicle charging space;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicles parked in an electric vehicle charging space and are not charging the vehicle; and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cars that are triple parked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parking on-campus is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagaracollege.ca\/campussafety\/parkingservices\/enforcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bylaw enforced<\/a>&nbsp;from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m. Fire lanes and accessible parking is enforced 24\/7.
