This session, Positive Space \u2013 Creating 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusive and Affirming Environments<\/em>, offers participants an engaging and reflective introduction to gender and sexual diversity, drawing on key concepts such as terminology, pronouns, gender identity, and the impact of heteronormative and cisnormative assumptions. The session encourages deeper understanding of lived experiences within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Participants explore practical strategies for allyship, practice using inclusive language, and work through real\u2011world case studies to build confidence in addressing homophobia, transphobia, and misgendering. Designed as a safe(r) space for learning and dialogue, the session empowers attendees to actively contribute to more inclusive, respectful, and affirming environments across their workplace and community.<\/p>\n

This session is being held virtually – attendance can be through Zoom or in Welland in AH255.<\/p>\n
