Barrie Tober, CPA, CMA, M.Acc, is a professor in the School of Business and Management at Niagara College, Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, where she primarily teaches introductory financial accounting, managerial accounting, and operations management courses. She is also the program coordinator for the two- and three-year accounting diplomas at Niagara College. She has taught accounting courses part-time at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Professor Tober completed her CMA designation in 1992 and was granted a CPA designation in 2014. Prior to becoming a full-time professor, she spent eight years working in public accounting, and two years as a consultant for new entrepreneurs in the Business Development Centre at Niagara College. Her personal interests include camping, and traveling, with her husband and four children. Barrie was involved as one of three Canadian authors for Accounting, 2nd Canadian edition, Nelson Publishing.
