The EDI Coordinating Council is pleased to launch the new Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) website – niagaracollege.ca/EDI – which is a resource and learning tool for all of us at Niagara College to uphold the values of respect and inclusivity.
The College recognizes that a welcoming and inclusive culture is strengthened by a diversity of perspectives and talents that allow students and employees to thrive. EDI are shared responsibilities that belong to all of us.
The new resource website includes:
- Days of significance calendar;
- Glossary of terms;
- FAQ;
- Further learning,
and more.
The days of significance calendar is an excellent resource for all NC students and employees. It includes important international, national, cultural, and religious dates and events to refer to when coordinating meetings, activities or event-planning and as an informational tool to learn more about each date and event. The calendar can be downloaded and saved to your own calendar of choice. If you wish to suggest an addition to the calendar or website, please contact COE.
COE will continue to update the website so please consider bookmarking it and checking back regularly.
Following two years of meaningful dialogue, deliberation, and consultation by Niagara College’s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce, the final blueprint – a combined strategy and implementation plan that aligns and reflects the voice of NC community members – will be unveiled in Winter 2023.
