Niagara College student entrepreneurs vie for cash

Niagara College’s budding student entrepreneurs will vie for cash prizes in the second annual Entrepreneurship Challenge, hosted at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus this Thursday, April 20.

Three top prizes of $750, $500 and $250 will be offered to the top placing teams, with their presentations reviewed by a panel of judges. Eight teams – made up of three to four students from six programs – have been selected by their peers to compete in this unique Challenge. In addition to competing for prize money, all of the participating teams will have the opportunity to work with NCTakeoff to help bring their idea to fruition. (NCtakeoff is the College’s hub for entrepreneurial education).

2nd Annual Entrepreneurship Challenge, Niagara College School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport, and School of Business and Management students. Teams of three-four students will compete in 15-minute presentations, overseen by a panel of judges from NC and the community. The event is open to the community and all are invited to attend.

Thursday, April 20, 4:30 p.m with prizes awarded at 8 p.m., Niagara-on-the-Lake campus, 135 Taylor Road, NOTL, Room W111.
