Lots to experience at NC Spring Open House

Niagara College’s Spring Open House will offer prospective students and the public a behind-the-scenes look at Niagara College’s unique programs, services and facilities.

Niagara College will open the doors of its Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the annual event, which will feature program information sessions, interactive displays and exhibits, tours and tastings, live entertainment and more.

“Our Spring Open House really showcases the entire Niagara College experience,” said Niagara College president Dan Patterson. “Whether you’re planning the next step in your education pathway or you just want to learn more about the exciting work we’re doing, this is a great way to tour our facilities and meet our faculty and staff.”

Both campuses will feature interactive displays and information for NC’s more than 100 academic programs.  The day will also include campus and residence tours, financial planning workshops, a services fair, community activities, live entertainment, plant sales by the Niagara College Greenhouse, tastings hosted by the Niagara College Teaching Brewery and Teaching Winery, bread sales by the Bench-to-Go Bake Shop, and more.

The Welland Campus will include a photo booth hosted by the Student Administrative Council and live sketch demonstrations, while the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus will include an outdoor barbecue on the patio of Benchmark Restaurant, mini-manicures by NC Teaching Spa, and a display of sustainable landscape projects in the Greenhouse.

Niagara College offers more than 100 diploma bachelor degree and advanced level programs at campuses in Welland Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls; as well as more than 600 credit vocational and general interest Part-Time Studies courses.
