Niagara College to welcome new students for January orientation

Niagara College will ring in the new year with a variety of activities to welcome its new students.

January Orientation will be held at the College’s Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses on Friday January 3 2014 to introduce January-start students to college life.

On Orientation day the campuses will open at 8 a.m. A student services fair will take place between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (Welland: Learning Commons; NOTL: Cafeteria.). Campus tours will depart from the Info Centre at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Program information sessions will be held between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and co-op information sessions between 11:30 a.m. and noon (various locations check schedule of events on website; link below). Lunch will be served at noon with entertainment beginning at 12:15 (Welland: Learning Commons; NOTL: Cafeteria) and students will have a chance to win prizes to be announced at 1:30 p.m.

As part of Orientation a Mix n’ Mingle event will also be held Thursday Jan. 9 at The Core Welland Campus (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
