Occupational Therapy Treatments (OT)

Fine Motor Skills Development Program (6 Week Program)

This program targets the pediatric age group and focuses on developing fine motor skills in areas such as strength, dexterity, grasp, manipulation, coordination, etc. to improve independence in two main occupations: school participation in writing tasks and/or self care tasks such as dressing, eating, grooming, and so on.

An Occupational Therapist will complete assessments and develop a treatment plan for each child. The OTA & PTA will then carry out the treatment plan along with OTA & PTA students. These students will provide the children with 1:1 support in each session. At the end of the 6 week program we will provide strategies and resources for the continued development of the child’s fine motor skills, as appropriate.
