Our integrated planning initiative
Niagara College’s integrated planning initiative was driven by our growing enrolment and evolving economy, and the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development differentiation framework, requiring post-secondary institutions to establish clear areas of specialization.
Our goal was to help us to strengthen what we are doing well, focus on where to invest, and reinvent or improve areas facing challenges. Ultimately, this process was intended to facilitate and support our capacity to pursue the priorities set out in the College’s 2013-2016 Strategic Plan, by directly linking college priorities with our programs, services and departmental strategies.
Transform NC launched in October 2013 and concluded in November 2015. The process resulted in a number of recommendations to further support our culture of continuous improvement, including the development of additional program dashboards and lean methodology for business process improvement.
