There are many ways for students to get involved in Sustainability on Campus through the Office of Sustainability!
Consider becoming a Sustainability Ambassador, or join our LEAD (Leadership, Exploration, and Development) Program in the Sustainability Stream. You can also check out the Sustainability Organization on the Get Involved Portal (earn your Co-Curricular Record) for a list of all our upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to meet other students to make a difference on campus and in our community!
What are Niagara College students doing?
Below are some examples of sustainability initiatives that our students have been participated in.
As part of the Ontario Biodiversity Summit 2015 held in Niagara Falls May 19-22, Niagara College hosted a Youth Parallel event on Friday, May 22 – the International Day of Biological Diversity that got Niagara College students and students from around the province involved in biodiversity here on campus.
The World Water Monitoring Challenge is an International program that sees Niagara College students from many different program areas learning about water awareness, and participating in taking local water quality samples.
Niagara College is pleased to host an annual Earth Day event that gets students out and involved in a variety of activities including tree planting, workshops and more!
Every year dozens of Niagara College students gather to participate in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up!
