Our intercollegiate athletics program has won seven national championships and thirty-five provincial championships. In the 2015-16 season the Niagara Knights won a national silver medal and four provincial medals. This exemplifies our commitment towards creating a high performance culture at Niagara College. Our expectation for excellence carries over to the classroom as well. We are proud to recognize thirty-eight OCAA All-Academic and five SIRC-CCAA Academic All-Canadians from the 2015-16 season.
Varsity athletes have access to the on-campus Athletic Therapy Clinic, offering prevention techniques, on-field immediate care for injuries, and clinical rehabilitation services.

Our gymnasiums and Fitness Centres are designed to ensure that all students have the ability to participate in a variety of recreational, fitness, and athletic activities.
Students can use the Athletic Centres at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses at no extra cost*.
Everyone is welcome! Fitness class availability and selection varies semester to semester, and typically include Yoga, Zumba, Spin, and many more.
Classes are available at no extra cost* to students with a Student ID Card, and are scheduled throughout the day to accommodate busy student schedules.
All of our intramural leagues are co-ed and are designed for participants of all skill levels.
Intramural sports are scheduled in the afternoon and evenings to ensure that everyone has the best opportunity to participate. Intramural sports change from season to season, and students can sign up for or make their own team at no extra cost*.
Complete against other Colleges, but without the time commitments of varsity sports. Extramural sports change from season to season, and tryouts are typically held early in the semester. Teams practice once a week, and compete in one or two tournaments across Ontario against other Colleges. Students who are selected to an extramural team can participate at no extra cost*.
