SHOWCASE OVERVIEW
Niagara Research invites faculty, staff, industry, and community members to attend the Student Summer Showcase 2010 on Tuesday August 31st at the Niagara College Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. This annual event provides Student Research Assistants the opportunity to present the applied research projects they have been working on over the summer, as well as discuss key milestones achieved and future project opportunities. Presentations will encompass a number of divisions within the college including horticulture and greenhouse, photonics, electronics, mechanical, environment, business, computer programming, viticulture as well as web design and development.
Niagara Research strives to provide students with real-world experience that can be transferable upon graduation, while providing applied research solutions for business, industry and the community. Dissemination and knowledge transfer plays a key role within Niagara Research where students are encouraged to present their ideas, findings and research in both internal and external settings. These projects also provide students with cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
