EVENT OVERVIEW
Green Day at Niagara is an environmental event put on by the Niagara Environmental Corps (NEC). The event plays host to various exhibitors from a number of industries with an environmental focus. Not only does Green Day promote student involvement and volunteerism to raise environmental awareness, but encourages students to engage in habitat conservation, ecosystem restoration, urban sustainability and environmental education projects on campus and in the Niagara Region.
Established at Niagara College in 2006, the Niagara Environmental Corps (NEC) promotes student involvement and volunteerism to raise environmental awareness and engage students in habitat conservation, ecosystem restoration, urban sustainability and environmental education projects on campus and in the Niagara Region. Since 2007, the NEC has partnered with Niagara Research to provide opportunities for student involvement in applied research initiatives with Niagara region companies and community organizations.
