Development and Knowledge Transfer "

Angie Gott | Web Technology & Design

A new addition to the Niagara Research team, Angie Gott brings a wealth of web design experience to Niagara College’s Research & Innovation department.

Angie, a teacher in the college’s New Media Web Design program, is currently working on a project with industry partner Pay for Performance, which has her and a student researcher developing a new user interface for their online client appointment booking system.

It’s her first project with Niagara Research but Angie said she is looking forward to getting involved in many more, with areas of specialization including HTML programming, web design and software including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

For Angie, the best part about applied research is the experience it gives the students.

“It’s really fantastic to see them working hands-on for a solution to a real industry problem,” Angie said.

Angie has taught at Niagara College for the past two years and also has her own web design company. Prior to working at the college Angie worked at VRB Internet Solutions, giving her an extensive background in website design.

She sees lots of potential for web design based projects at Niagara Research as new Internet trends emerge, including the development of HTML5 and mobile device specific websites.

Angie graduated from Niagara College’s Multimedia post-graduate program in 2003. Prior to that she earned her diploma from the college in Art and Design Fundamentals.
