There are a multitude of career options available to Winery and Viticulture Studies graduates: assistant vineyard managers, sommeliers, winery and cellar technicians, agri-tourism development and more!
The Niagara College Teaching Winery is the center for wine education in the Niagara Peninsula and offers both a diploma and certificate program for those with the desire to succeed in the sophisticated and dynamic field of wineries and viticulture.
It is Canada's only commercial teaching winery, an international award-winning program located in the heart of Canada's largest and fastest growing wine region.
With our focus on quality education, we believe in preparing graduates for work in the 'real' world. Winery and Viticulture students are taught the day-to-day responsibilities and inner workings of a winery, from planting grapes to selling wine. The Winery and Viticulture Technician program was developed in direct consultation with the wine industry; employers are eager to hire our graduates!
Note that the Start Dates listed below indicate in which academic terms a program may generally be offered. Please consult the Program Availability section for current intake status for all full-time programs (post secondary certificates and diplomas / graduate certificates / bachelor degrees).
