Statement from the President
Niagara College is committed to providing a healthy and safe learning environment and workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment, where a civil, diverse and respectful atmosphere fosters healthy attitudes toward sexuality, sex and gender roles. Niagara College will not tolerate behaviour that contributes to a hostile and inequitable learning and working environment.
We at Niagara College take our commitment to supporting those who experience sexual violence very seriously, and we work diligently on-campus and with our community partners on programs, practices and resources to promote campuses that are free from sexual violence.
This website provides quick access to the information contained in the College’s Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence Practice and Protocol, which includes procedures and resources to support individuals and groups who may be directly or indirectly involved in working with persons who have experienced sexual violence.
I urge all members of the Niagara College community to review this Practice and Protocol to learn about options and resources available to those who require support or who wish to support others. Please help to ensure that Niagara College remains a safe and positive space where members of our College community can work, learn and express themselves in a safe environment that upholds human equality.
