Katerina Gonzalez, M.Ed.
Director, Planning and Institutional Research
Katerina works closely with all divisions to provide data-driven analysis and insight to support effective planning and decision making. She has significant experience in post-secondary institutional research. Katerina came to Niagara College from Brock University, where she was the Financial and Institutional Analyst for six years. Prior to Brock, Katerina was a Data Analysis Coordinator at Lambton College. Having also worked in the private and not-for-profit sectors, Katerina brings a well rounded approach to institutional research and planning.
Katerina received her Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 1985. She also obtained a Master of Education focusing on educational research from Brock University in 2012.
Duncan MacDuff, M.A.
Duncan has more than twenty-five years of experience with Niagara College as a researcher, instructional designer, facilitator, evaluator, coordinator, consultant, and author. Much of his work has focused upon providing applied research and facilitative services that promote shared understanding, consensus building, creativity and participatory decision-making. In his role as Research Facilitator at PaIR, Duncan is particularly excited with the opportunity to apply these skills to support the college community in its drive to enhance institutional effectiveness and student success.
Duncan graduated from the University of Guelph in 1985 with a Master of Arts in Sociology.
Matt Hills, B.CS.
As Data Reporting Specialist, Matt works with Niagara College Information Technology Services (ITS) and PaIR to develop solutions for data collection, representation, and analysis. In this role Matt will be assisting in creating applications and reports that support the College’s vision of enriching lives and fulfilling dreams. Matt comes from an IT and software development background in the private sector, including two years at Orbis Communications serving the college and university sectors.
Matt studied in the co-op computing programs at McMaster University and Brock University, and received his Honours Bachelor of Computer Science from Brock University in 2014.
Team KPI includes Maria Vandelaar, KPI Coordinator (Nov and Feb surveys), Nicole Oud, KPI Coordinator (February survey), and over 70 survey administrators who administer the survey to students in class. Apprenticeship students are surveyed year round in the last two weeks of their program’s in-class component.
