A message from the Strategic Planning Co-Chairs
We would like to extend our thanks to all faculty and staff for the meaningful feedback generated through the recent strategic plan internal consultations. We recognize that all of our schedules are very busy, and we’re grateful for the time and attention that everyone lent to this important discussion. Thanks also to those from each division who stepped forward to facilitate these consultations.
Throughout the month of October, all college divisions met to review the strategic vision that is emerging from months of planning and discussion, including previous internal consultations that took place through the spring and summer. Along the way, we have also consulted with the Board of Governors, as we develop both a long-term (10-15 year) vision and the initial four-year strategic plan.
The goal of the recent internal consultations was to facilitate a discussion on the long-term future state of the college; enhance the college-wide understanding of the changing post-secondary environment; and provide an outlet for meaningful input. The consultations were also designed to start the important discussions at the divisional and departmental levels around how, individually and collectively, we can support the college’s new strategic directions.
The input from all of the consultation meetings is currently being reviewed as we generate a draft four-year strategic plan that will be presented to the Board of Governors for review and discussion later this month. A final plan will be presented to the board in February, 2017. Once the strategic plan has been approved, operational plans will be developed in the spring of 2017.
We will continue to share updates as the process unfolds. We welcome your feedback or questions via email at email@example.com.
