Students who graduate from a CPA Ontario accredited program at a post secondary institution are eligible to enrol in the certification courses of the CPA program of professional studies. This means that a student has one year or less of part-time studies in order to complete the education requirement of the CPA program. Please visit CPA Ontario for the list of accredited programs.


How to Obtain Your Equivalencies

To obtain credit for equivalency courses taken, individuals will be required to submit their application CPA Ontario at:

Registration Information

  1. A grade of 70% is required in the equivalent courses in order to obtain an exemption from CPA.
  2. To be awarded the CPA designation, potential CPA candidates must hold a University degree and have a minimum of 3 years of accounting and finance related experience.

  4. Individuals who were not able to take ACCT1101, ACCT1202 and ACCT1302 will be required to take ACCT1130 and ACCT1230 to meet the CPA Financial Accounting Fundamental requirement.

How to Register

Students do not apply to our part-time equivalency programs. Instead, enrol in and successfully complete each course listed in the Program Delivery section. Once you have successfully completed all of the required courses, you may follow the directions of the professional association to obtain your equivalencies.
