IPM (Integrated Pest Management) for Beekeeping

Topics for Intermediate Beekeeping Workshop include:

  • Pest and disease biology and identification
  • Monitoring for pests and diseases
  • Record Keeping
  • Treatments
  • Integrated pest management

Information

  • participants of all experience are welcome, BUT students must complete the “Introductory Beekeeping” workshop or course and/or have at least one season of beekeeping experience prior to taking the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) for Beekeeping workshop
  • Each workshop is a separate one-day workshop from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Coffee, snacks and lunch are provided with registration fee
  • The Ontario Beekeeping Association will provide participant manuals for each of the workshops
  • Workshops are held at Niagara College’s Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus
  • Workshops consists of classroom sessions and hands-on lessons in the bee yard
  • Cost is $180 per workshop for non-members and $155 for OBA members (HST included)
  • Each workshop is limited, on a first come, first serve basis
