Can-Fit-Pro: Fitness Instructor Specialist

Course Code: PHLT1132C

Presented through Niagara College by the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals (Can-Fit-Pro), this newly revised Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) program provides a demonstration of the leadership, motivation and practical training required for group exercise instructors. The program involves theory as well as a practical component, and is designed to increase your knowledge level to effectively lead a group fitness class to music. Candidates who complete this course may then register to become certified with Can-Fit-Pro and write the Fitness Instructor exam. The Can-Fit-Pro exam must be written within 6 months of completion of this course. There is an additional exam fee, payable to Can-Fit-Pro, not Niagara College. NOTE: 100% attendance at all classes is mandatory for successful completion of this course. Students are encouraged to pick up course material from the Part Time Studies office, Welland Campus - Rm TC32, prior to commencement of this course.
