In this course, you will be introduced to the network of government laws and regulations within the Province of Ontario that affect the employer-employee work relationship. Since government laws and regulations are significantly shaping an organization's human resource management policies, procedures, and practices, it is important that in preparing for careers in management, you have current knowledge of the significance and implications of employment laws in today's workplace. In addition to examining the major provisions of various Ontario statutes, you will focus mainly on the obligations and actions required on the part of management in order to ensure compliance with various employment statutes.
